I’m not entirely sure what came over me, but I made a norigae (Korean knot charm) like Rumi’s from K-Pop Demon Hunters. I was mostly curious and had no intention of making one as the tutorial looked way too difficult, even with all my prior knot experience from making the bracelet. I suddenly wanted to try it and so I did. THEN I decided I wanted to simplify it a bit, use one main color only, and create my own tassel. It was sure time-consuming, but I finally made it just how I liked.
THEN I decided to make a video tutorial…voila!
It’s my longest tutorial yet…over an hour long. And that’s with cutting out parts and speeding up other parts. But I didn’t want to shorten it and risk leaving out anything that would prevent anyone from succeeding in making this. This is a BIG project and it’s tough to learn. BUT it sure is an enjoyable craft and at the end it’s fun to wear something unique you can say you made yourself, and you can make it for others!
Since so much time is involved, I did my best to make the video when I was alone, but my 4-year-old’s voice did make it into a few parts, so I hope you enjoy my little assistant’s commentary and occasional singing.
