I finally found my favorite jeans of all time…I wanted extremely dark wash, extremely flared and extremely long jeans. I checked Nordstrom Rack and found exactly that with the brand Good American! There were no long sizes available, but I thought oh well, YOLO, and ordered them (they were also a great sale price). Man are they long and then some! I’m 5’9″ so usually regular pants are too short for me. I actually had to hem them a bit, but that’s not a complaint at all…don’t complain about pants always being too long because you can always hem but you can’t make them grow!
I also love the high waist and cute patch pockets on the front. I have back pain almost 24/7 and the jeans feel supportive and snug kind of like a back brace. And after having kids it’s just great to have such a good fit.
I’ve always been curious about Good American ever since learning about it on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, with it being a company owned by Khloe, my favorite Kardashian (BTW if you are reading this Khloe, let me know if you want me to be your Iowa bestie). I absolutely love her, and this is only my first GA piece, so I’m excited to try more.
My jeans arrived today on Halloween, so I am excited to wear them trick-or-treating with my family. I’m not really dressing up, but I did crochet a black cat hat using this YouTube tutorial yesterday so I have a subtle costume.
This is a great tutorial, and it even taught me how to do the technique for starting a row without chains, which I’ve been meaning to learn anyway!
I then did a cat eye look with black eyeliner and painted my nails sheer pink then a stripe of black down the middle to look like claws. I also put on a black choker to look like a collar. And I don’t have a coat on in these photos but of course I will for trick-or-treating (because Iowa).
